Cedar Hong Kong launches《优YŌU》, a groundbreaking WeChat magazine for Taikoo Li Qiantan
We are excited to announce the launch of 《优YŌU》, a groundbreaking WeChat magazine produced by Cedar Hong Kong for Taikoo Li Qiantan (TLQ) in Shanghai.
Produced in Simplified Chinese and English,《优YŌU》 is the first-ever WeChat magazine produced by Cedar Hong Kong and focuses on everything you need to live well and to discover what wellness means to you. Named after a character meaning ‘excellent’, ‘superior’ and ‘outstanding’, 《优YŌU》 represents all of the fine offerings at TLQ: excellent lifestyle solutions, superior wellness resources, and outstanding leisure facilities. The magazine is also created just for ‘you’, as a part of the Qiantan community.
Following a successful tender in October 2019, Cedar Hong Kong was appointed by Shanghai Qianxiu Company Limited, a joint-venture company of Swire Properties and Lujiazui Group as its content partner for a new bilingual WeChat magazine. This title will support the launch of its new retail project, Taikoo Li Qiantan in Shanghai, due to open in second half of 2021.
Located in the Qiantan International Business District in Pudong, Shanghai, Qiantan is billed as Shanghai’s newest wellness district, with TLQ at the heart of urban living. The WeChat magazine’s primary focus is to embody the TLQ brand proposition to ‘live well with heart’.
Aimed at local millennial customers, the inaugural issue of 《优YŌU》 kicked-off the wellness conversation with the ‘A Better Way to Live’ cover story, an interview with a 70-year-old fitness Key Opinion Leader (KOL), and introduced ‘The Wellness Diary’ column with local life coach Julia Zhu discussing the topic of inner happiness.
Jessica Haigh, Managing Director of Cedar Hong Kong, said, ‘《优YŌU》 is the first WeChat magazine that Cedar Hong Kong has created for a client, and we’re delighted that TLQ chose us as their partner for this launch.’
Alan Lo, General Manager – Portfolio, Taikoo Li Qiantan, said, ‘We’re thrilled to be the first retail complex in Shanghai to launch a WeChat magazine before its opening. In creating something special that resonates with our brand messaging, together with such a professional team at Cedar, we hope that 《优YŌU》 will inspire our customers to “live well” with us at Taikoo Li Qiantan.’
Emily Chu, Editor of 《优YŌU》, said, ‘Defining the idea of wellness in China, especially when there is not yet such a term in Chinese, is challenging, but equally – if not more – rewarding. Our goal is for each issue to motivate our readers as they embark on their wellness journeys.’
《优YŌU》can be read via the Taikoo Li Qiantan official WeChat account.
