Data Analyst, Cathay (Hong Kong)

Cedar Hong Kong is a creative content marketing agency based in Hong Kong. We are looking for a Data Analyst to work on our Cathay account, helping to shape our content across their premium travel lifestyle pillars including travel, holidays, dining, shopping, wellness and more, as well as B2B Cargo content.

The Data Analyst will lead our analytics and reporting on the account, setting KPIs and gauging performance of content, presenting findings to help create more effective content across all channels of the Cathay customer journey. The Data Analyst will work alongside a Content Strategist as part of our channel-neutral planning and strategy team.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Setting and tracking content KPIs for all content across the Cathay customer journey, both online and offline
    Leading research design, reporting, management and data analysis of all Cathay content, in conjunction with the Content Strategist
  • Leading on the creation, population and management of monthly content reporting dashboards
  • Designing, implementing, and analysing on-site surveys to measure content effectiveness and gain insights for content optimisation
  • Using bespoke research projects and syndicated research to inform editorial content plans and create trend reports
  • Presenting research analysis to internal and client teams
    Sourcing and editing relevant market news (desk research) and undertaking competitor reviews
  • Managing relationships with third-party research and data agencies to ensure Cedar has access to industry-leading tools and market insights

SKILLS, EXPERTISE AND KNOWLEDGE 

  • 3 years’ experience in a similar role
    Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics and social analytics experience
  • Knowledge and experience of syndicated research and data tools (e.g. TGI, Nielsen AdDynamix, Ipsos Affluent Survey)
  • A broad understanding of research methodologies and best practice for creating and managing proprietary research/data projects
  • Prior experience of working with Salesforce is desirable, but not essential
  • Questionnaire and survey design experience desired, but not essential
